Included is detailed information on how to use each piece effectively, and intentions for a simple, personal ritual. 

Preparation: Open a window in each room you are smudging to allow the negative energy and smoke to escape. Sage smoke can smell quite strong. Take some deep breaths and start to form positive thoughts, prayers or intentions that you will say.

                               How to Use a Sage Smudge:

1. Light the smudge stick with a match. Use an abalone shell or a safe surface to catch the ashes. Keep out of reach of children or flammable materials.

2. As the smudge smoulders, move through each space you are wishing to cleanse while speaking your intentions.

3. Once you have wafted smoke into each area you are wishing to smudge, return to a central area, and extinguish the smudge.

4. Light the palo santo. Once its lit, blow out the flame after a few seconds and allow it to smolder. You do not want flame, just a light smoke coming from it. Place the clear quartz around as you reflect on the cleansing of the energy.

5. Once done store away in included pouch and save for later use.

 Smudging a Person: You can smudge yourself or another person by waving the smoldering stick from side to side, feet to head and from front to back of the body. Repeat this around your entire body until you feel the energy clear.

Smudging A Room: To cleanse or purify a room move clockwise around the edge while waving the stick up and down near the walls and up into the corners of the room thinking or saying your positive thoughts and intentions.
